Slowing down
Firstly, I appear to have skipped an update. I was sure I wrote it, but I must not have posted it.
Secondly, things have slowed down. I have a new role that soaks up a good bit of my time. Still working away at this though.
One of the bigger things was I have been slowly spending a little time updating my other games to the latest version of my engine; something I haven't done in years. I hit some issues updating A Woodsman but along the way found a rare renderer crash. I resolved that and a fix will also be in Dungeon Craver in the next build.
I also fixed a variety of smaller things in Dungeon Craver such as input in mobile builds, excessive HUD updates, floaters not updating correctly and dramatically simplified input. The simplified input was an important one since it was necessary for the bigger change coming in the next build: actions are no longer instant. As it stands that will just mean you don't click to dig any more. It has required me to finally put in a proper system for handling input in the player's avatar (previously I had used a bit of behaviour tree hacking for a quick and easy route).
Sadly it is not enough so I am holding off the next build for a bit longer and don't have one for this fortnight.
I am well on my way so I am hoping that even with my reduce availability it will be ready for next fortnight.
