0.0.5 build!


Another build up. I have managed to get much of what I was hoping to in this build except the audio system replacement. Much of this update has been little bits of UI to clarify things; floaters, helper text, missing UI to clarify better what is going on. There is also the text field mentioned in the last update, although it is not actually used in the game yet since I decided to hold off on it to better define how it is used. As always a bunch of behind the scene stuff (mostly small bug fixes, updating random code, and such.

A few things have been delayed as I work through the issue they are meant to fix. I had considered changes to the HUD to surface some context stuff better, but I have had an ongoing conflict to resolve (digging tiles vs new rooms) and have decided to work out that problem a bit more before making the UI changes since they won't actually resolve the issue. I also did not get in the audio engine update. That was aspirational though. 

For the next build I plan to add new gameplay stuff. Specifically, making baking take time. Right now it is a lot of just clicking UI buttons. I did this intentionally when I overhauled the system so I could feel more comfortable the new system works on a lower level before complicating it further with more interesting interactions. This time the audio engine is also not aspirational. It is one of the intended changes for the next build (Assuming it doesn't turn into a bigger change than it should).  I also plan to spend some time working at the previously mentioned conflict with rooms. I have identified three routes, but haven't made a pick yet. I am hoping to finally have a resolution so if not in this build, than in the next one I can finally resolve that and move on to new things for the game.
