Overhaul Done
Finally after months a new release.
I finally worked through the remaining points in my list of changes from the prototyping I had been doing and bring them in, sort of. Two features (changing sale prices and buying/move furniture) were not implemented yet for technical/value reasons. A third feature not in the prototype since it would have been awkward there, but a high priority for the overhaul, is also not in yet. That said, it is now possible to collect resources, plant things, find oops and make them offers to come with you are in. There is also now a countertop 'furniture' that you can fix oopses, or create recipes from scratch. There is also a display case for putting complete desserts for sale, or a gift box for 'gifting' desserts. Both earn your reputation which affects the requests that appear on the request board, and the interests of the shoppers (teeth with hats) that come to your store and maybe buy stuff.
I have run a few play-throughs and fixed a slew of bugs or annoyances I found, although there are many more like conveying state of furniture (do you have requests? has a dessert sold? is the counter in use?) to do.
For the next build I have a few things I am focusing on.
1) Clearing out some of the issues I have identified above and looking for more
2) Implementing a text input UI widget and adding in the ability to set the sale price of desserts
3) Purchasing, placing and moving furniture around.
4) Timed baking actions instead of instant (this goes hand in hand w/ the above).
A fifth one I want if things go smoothly is to finally replace OpenAL on windows builds. I have an alternative, just haven't yet implemented it and I really don't like taking on extra libraries to install to play the game.
